Project Progress Update
Project is currently in close out.
- 7-17-2025: Replaced breaker and balance (redundant chiller)
- 7-24-2025: Chiller put back into service
- 7-24-2025: Control Module replaced in the redundant chiller
- 8-25-2025: Final testing and balance report (TAB) received
- 8-18-2025 & 8-25-2025: Performing final commissioning to ensure system functionality with existing mechanical equipment scheduled for the week of August 18th & August 25
- 9-01-2025: Final punch walk to be scheduled for the first week of September
- 9-17-2025: Commissioning coordination meeting
- 11-26-2025: Project was accepted by Facilities. Notice of Completion has been issued.
Project Features
This project involves the procurement, replacement, and installation of the Learning Resource Center Cooled Scroll Chiller system at City College. The scope includes replacing two existing chillers, two boilers, two air handling units, two chiller pumps, two boiler pumps, as well as the existing chiller/boiler expansion tanks and air separators at the LRC building.

The next stage of the project will focus on finalizing and completing the control module replacement in the redundant chiller, followed by the final project completion activities and full site demobilization. Final punch list walk scheduled for first week of September. Commissioning meeting scheduled for 9-17-2025.
