Project Progress Update
Full turf replacement of the existing San Diego City College Soccer field.
Upcoming Milestones:
- Submitted board action: October, 30 2025
- Preconstruction Kickoff: November 20, 2025
- Construction Commencement: November 24, 2025
- Punch walk #2 scheduled January 13, 2026
- Acceptance walk scheduled for January 26, 2026
Project Description
Full turf replacement:
- Remove existing turf and vegetation
- Prepare and grade approximately 75,000 square feet of soil
- Install new irrigation system, including:
- Valves
- Rotors
- Main line
- Install new sod
- Complete soccer field striping
- Provide maintenance and turf establishment period
Phase Work includes:
- Turf removal
- Subgrade rework
- Irrigation system upgrades
- Final turf installation and striping
