Ash Valenzuela-Sanchez - Summer 2026 CTE Events Graphic Design Intern

Ash Valenzuela-Sanchez is a first-generation immigrant student born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico, currently attending San Diego City College and pursuing a Graphic Design degree. With eagerness to learn and expand her knowledge, Ash is set to graduate with an AA in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual and Performing Arts, Art History, and Social and Behavioral Sciences by Spring 2027. She is an incredibly artistic individual with an eye for detail and a cohesive design aesthetic. These qualities made her a finalist for the AIGA San Diego Tijuana scholarship award in the fall of 2025.

In her free time, Ash enjoys music and animating; these are some things she wishes to incorporate into her work as a designer.

During summer 2026, Ash will join our Career Education & Workforce Development Department as a graphic design intern, closely working with Eddie Matthews, as her supervisor, and Noah Lacsina, creating audience-focused promotional materials, swag items, and templates for 26-27 career ed/workforce events and workshops, following all the SDCCD guidelines and focusing on District approved messaging for each project.
